How do we do it?  We utilize two methods of ground loop installation depending on the size of the lot, the terrain and the amount of rock beneath your home.

Horizontal Loop Installation

Horizontal loop installation is used when there is enough land available to run the loops across long stretches of property. Pipes are installed in trenches dug about six feet deep and 100 to 600 feet long, depending on the size of the system. This method of installation is typically implemented for new construction on acreage lots where the lawns are not yet landscaped.

Vertical Loop Installation

Vertical loop installation is the perfect choice when there is limited space available.  It is also a great option is you have an established lawn and landscaping that you would not like disturbed. Installation is simple.  Using well-drilling equipment, small holes are bored to a depth of between 100 and 400 feet. Vertical loops are then connected to the house via a horizontal underground pipe.

Inside your home, the geothermal unit is not much larger than your existing furnace and water heater and it’s a lot quieter.    And remember, a geothermal system eliminates the need for the noisy air conditioning compressor outside your home.
